This is an orientation tour of the city, which has played a critical role in the history of Russia. The tour includes entrance to Peter and Paul Fortress.

From the banks of the Neva River you will see your next destination, the great fortress of St. Peter and St. Paul . The fortress was one of the first buildings built by Peter the Great in the new capital of Russia. Originally designed as a fortress in 1703, it was erected from mud and wood and later re-built as a massive brick structure it is today. Main features of the fortress include St Peter's Gate, which is the only triumphal structure of the city dating from the beginning of the 18th century and the Mint that is housed in the center of the Fortress.
