   St Isaac's Cathedral is a magnificent edifice with fine colonnades, splendid bronze sculptures and a golden dome. The cathedral has been a museum since 1931 and its huge interior houses mosaics, sculptures and paintings. The view from the top is reputed to be the best in St Petersburg.
