AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines was set-up in 1994 and became one of the first Ukrainian carriers to offer passengers flights with modern aircraft combined with quality service and up-to-date industry approved safety standards.
Today AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines is the Ukraine’s largest carrier, constantly expanding its network of routes, improving its fleet and introducing new modern passenger service technologies and comfort
With its hub at Kiev-Boryspil Airport, Aerosvit flies to more than 80 international cities, including seven long-haul destinations.
The airline provides both passenger and cargo air services between Ukrainian cities and 34 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Georgia, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE, the USA, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
AeroSvit also has a very strong domestic network, with flights to Ukraine’s largest regional administrative centres, including Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Odesa, Simferopol and Kharkiv.
In 2012, AeroSvit commenced its medium-haul fleet renewal programme as part of its strategic plan which saw the largest order for Next Generation aircraft in the Ukraine. Between March and May 2012, two Boeing 737-800N
Gs were delivered to the airline directly from Boeing’s production facilities in Seattle. The 11 Next Generation 737 aircraft ordered will be delivered from 2012 through to 2016 and will be configured with the Boeing Sky Interior, providing passengers with the highest level of comfort in its class.
AeroSvit currently operates 27 Boeing aircraft, including 8 long-haul Boeing 767-300ER and 19 medium-haul Boeing 737s as well as to Airbus 320, 321, Embraer 195 and 145 aircraft.
AeroSvit has been a member of the International Air Transport Association since 1996 and the Association of European Airlines since 2008.
The airline was among the first carriers in the CIS that passed the IOSA requirements (IATA Operational Safety Audit) and has successfully renewed this every second year through its rigorous independent IOSA audits, the latest being in 2011.
The largest shareholders of AeroSvit Ukrainian Airlines are Gilward Investments B.V. (the Netherlands) and the State Property Fund of the Ukraine with the remaining shareholding spread between three Ukrainian companies – GenAviaInvest, Investment Advisors Group and Byuro.
