Breathtaking boat trip along canals and the Neva river

What better way to experience St Petersburg than from the water! Come with us on this circular trip along the city’s central rivers and canals to experience many of St Petersburg’s most famous palaces, the estate of poet Gavrila Romanovich Derzhavin, countless beautiful bridges, and many of the city's most famous panoramas. As well as the Strelka ("spit") of Vasilyevsky Island, you’ll find excellent views of St Nicholas’ Cathedral and the Mariinsky Theatre along the Kryukov Canal.

Coming out onto the Moika River, you’ll pass New Holland island, the Stroganov and Mariinsky Palaces, St Isaac's Cathedral and the General Staff Building on Palace Square. Then we head out onto the Neva River for classic vistas of Vasilyevsky and Aptekarsky Islands, the Peter and Paul Fortress, and the Summer Garden. There are other circuits you can follow, but this is probably the most popular route, and a great way to understand why St Petersburg is often called the "Venice of the North".
