Coronavirus – latest updates for travellers.

Coronavirus is spreading around the world, with most countries either currently affected, or expected to be at some point.

Russian National Tourist Office has decided to share with you these latest updates and clarify the information relating to Russia and travellers who are planning trips to Russia.

Please note that we have taken the decision temporarely close our office in line with latest Government advice to avoid social contact and travel.  We are monitoring our inbox and are responding to requests as soon as we are able to do so.

For any queries please contact us via email:

info@visitrussia.org.uk

Please also note that Russia is closing boarders for Foreigners from 18 March 2020 (00:01 am) until 1 of May 2020.

Of course, we have no control over how the situation might change in the interim. We will continue to update our advice and information to reflect the current situation from day to day, so please keep checking our website and also TravelHealthPro who at the moment advises against all non-essential travel worldwide for new developments.

If you are considering cancelling your travel plans and wondering whether you can claim against your travel insurance, the Association of British Insurers’ website has some useful information.

Your travel insurance may cover non-refundable cancellation costs, in specific circumstances. These can include medical advice against you or a member of your group from travelling, or government advice against travelling abroad. Check your policy for the scope of cover.
