- Hotel Overview
Moscow is huge and exciting. As the capital of the largest country on the planet, it is bound to impress, and it does not fail to deliver. Contrasts are everywhere: fancy shops on Tverskaya Street rub shoulders with shacks left over from Soviet times. It’s like a mix of two worlds: Europe and Asia... cultural innovator and an ancient city with an exceptionally rich history, centuries of old traditions and a promising future.
If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, this five-day tour will introduce you to the best sights this metropolis has to offer.
Day 1 - Moscow
Upon arrival in the capital of Russia, you will be met by our representative who will escort you to your hotel.
Day 2 - Moscow City Tour with Visit to Novodevicy Convent
After Breakfast at hotel, depart for an excursion of the city with stops at the most famous sights: Poklonnaya Hill and Victory Park, Vorobievy Hills, Moscow State Univercity. Drive by Tverskaya Street, Manezhnaya square, Okhotny Riad, Bolshoy theatre, Lubianka square, Savior Cathedral, the Kremlin and Kropotkinskaya embankments etc. Visit Novodevicy Convent.
Day 3 - Moscow - Kremlin Grounds, Cathedrals and Armoury Chamber Guided Tour
After Breakfast at the hotel and check-out depart for the tour.
This morning you will visit Red Square, arguably one of the most famous squares in the world. It got its name from the Russian word for "red", which many centuries ago meant "beautiful". You will see the brightly-domed St Basil's Cathedral, the world-renowned Lenin Mausoleum, the expansive facade of the GUM department store, Kazan Cathedral and the Kremlin towers.
You will discover the interior of the Kremlin - the former residence of the Tsars and now the residence of the Russian President. You will also visit the Kremlin’s beautiful orthodox cathedrals. Cathedral Square still retains the aura of early Tsarist Russia, where the spirits of Ivan the Terrible, Boris Godunov and the early Romanovs loom large.
Next, you will explore the breath-taking collection of the Armoury Museum. It contains such notable exhibits as the chalice of Yuri Dolgorukiy, the helm and armour of Boris Godunov, a collection of over fifty Faberge eggs, golden and silver works of applied art by Russian, European and Oriental masters, invaluable weapons and other works made of precious metals and stones.
Day 4 - Kolomenskoye Estate – UNESCO Heritage Site and Former Tsar Residence Guided Tour
Kolomenskoye is a former royal estate and one of the most picturesque and enjoyable of Moscow’s out-of-town attractions. This 5-17th century Tsarist estate is preserved in its original layout and comprises unique architectural monuments, including the Church of the Ascension (1532). Transfer to the airport from one of the most interesting and colourful cities in the world. Old-town with its narrow streets, where every building has its own unique history. You will explore
