Moscow – Volgograd

Moscow and Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad) – two cities full of history and culture, providing a window into what shaped Russia and its people. We all know Moscow with its Kremlin, Red Square and iconic St Basil’s Cathedral. But there’s so much more to the city, as you’ll discover during your tour – art galleries, churches and all the regalia of Russia’s tsars, the Bolshoi Theatre and the infamous home of the former KGB. Then we’re off to Volgograd, Russia’s “hero city” which suffered so terribly in the Second World War during the siege of Stalingrad, as it was then known. Few places on earth let you experience the horrors of war, and the ability to rebuild and flourish, like Volgograd. Two different cities, two amazing experiences.
